Subject: Research work for academic purpose

During our Post Graduation years we,students of Department of English, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji University, Bhavnagar, Have been given task regarding the ELT(English Language Teaching) in which we were supposed to meet the students of high school and to give a small test of multiple choice with the purpose to do a small research that what Gujarati students feel about English Language, How they learn the language, how they want to learn the language, whether they are given positive atmosphere for English Language or not.Are they interested in learning English or not.So with this purpose we students, Deepti Joshi, Aneri Thakar, Devendra Joshi, Pratipal Chudasma Decided to visit high school, and we prepared one very easy and short test around of 12 question,all were about English Language.

 ( We students with the principal of  Amarjyoti school Kalvibid Bhavnagar, Deepti Joshi, Aneri Thakar, Rajendrasinh (principal) Pratiaplsinh Chudasama, Devendra Joshi)

 When we decide that We will do a small research on it at that time we all were so excited, and we started  preparing for it, First we choose the school for it, and we came to decision that we will visit one Developed school and one developing school so we decided to visit Amarjyoti school. After school we prepared short multiple choice based test about English Language and all most all was ready what was remaining was Permission of principal of that school. Our friend Aneri had taken the responsibility of permission and she took all pain to get the permission but we could not get permission easily, when Our prof.Dr.Dilip Barad found that their students had tried their all still could not get the permission He just called the Principal Of that school who fortunately was a good friend of our sir that My students wants to visit your school for academic purpose,without taking much time he just said yes and finally we could complete our task.

Conclusion :-

     After evaluating students forms we came to know that students of Bhavnagar (Gujrat) either of English medium or gujrati medium are intrested in learning english language, what they still requeir is proper atmosphere in the school and out side the school. what teachers requeir is to create that atmosphere and to use students frendly techniques in the teaching of english language.
